This award has impacted me by providing me with an opportunity to keep going in school and lessen my financial burden. This previous semester has been a challenge. I’ve had to overcome a life-threatening illness, work a full-time internship for free, give birth, and balance being a mom and wife while finishing school. This award will help me succeed as a student because I am now able to apply for grad school without any financial holds, I can now register for classes and I am able to now have access to my transcripts in order to further my education. I am grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to furthering my education at Wayne State University.
