They have delicious meal options and remarkable customer service, thus it's no surprise Louie's donated gift cards for student of the Helping Individuals Go Higher (HIGH) Program. The students that the HIGH Program helps struggle financially to get by, let alone buy books, pay for tuition, and support rent and utility costs. The HIGH program is designed to lift the burden by providing them with the simple necessities of life like housing, food, and clothing.
Started in 2013 after learning about a student who was sleeping in her car, First Lady of Wayne State University, Jacqueline Wilson, wanted to address the issue of student homelessness. In other words, she wanted to directly help students who want to better their situation by obtaining a degree, hence the birth of the Helping Individuals Go Higher Program. This program not only provides students with what they need most, but also offers them valuable resources by connecting them with the local community.
The HIGH Program welcomes and graciously accepts donations of any and all kinds. Please contact us at (313) 577-9933 or visit us on the web at highprogram.wayne.edu to learn more about how you can help.
Thank you Louie's: you are filling stomachs, but more importantly, full-filling dreams
