WAYNE STATE'S HIGH PROGRAM PARTNERS WITH GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF GREATER DETROIT

The Wayne State University HIGH (Helping Individuals Go Higher) Program is excited to announce partnership with Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit. This will be Goodwill's first partnership with a local college or university, and our collaboration will offer job training and educational opportunities for both Wayne State students and Goodwill program participants.

Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit offers a variety of excellent community programs including 'Flip the Script', career centers, youth programs, and case management services. They also offer service coordination for veterans, skill-building programs, and a center for working families dedicated to helping individuals maximize economic well-being. The HIGH Program is excited to offer real world experience in an office environment to eligible Goodwill program participants through our many internship positions, which can be found on Internships.com.

Wayne State University will be visiting Goodwill to teach individuals what they can expect while attending college and what opportunities are available to them at Wayne State. Goodwill will be inviting HIGH Program students to attend a special reception where they will receive extra discounts for Goodwill item purchases. Future partnership plans include investigating the possibility of opening a Goodwill 'pop-up' location near Wayne State's campus.

The HIGH Program looks forward to ongoing collaboration with this important community organization!
