Wayne State University HIGH Program to participate in National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week

This year, National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week takes place November 12 - November 20, 2016. The Wayne State University's Helping Individuals Go Higher (HIGH) Program will be distributing lunches to homeless individuals and families at Cass Community Social Services. The HIGH Program staff consists of Volunteers, Interns, and Work Study students who are all dedicated towards bettering the lives of students in their community.

National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week is held each year the week before Thanksgiving. This is a time for us to reflect on what we are thankful for and share our compassion with those in our community who are experiencing the threat of homelessness. Together, we can make Wayne State a place where something like housing insecurity will not hold a student back from success.
