Warrior Days with Mrs. Wilson

Wayne State University 'Warrior Day' was held at Belleville High School on May 16, 2017, with key speaker Mrs. Jacqueline Wilson. Mrs. Wilson is the First Lady and Founding Director of the HIGH -Helping Individuals Go Higher Program for Wayne State University.

Mrs. Wilson, a frequent speaker at 'Warrior Days,' met with high school students of Belleville to introduce them to all that Wayne State University has to offer. Students had the opportunity to speak with Mrs. Wilson and school representatives about how an academic career with Wayne State ensures a path to success.

Mrs. Wilson has dedicated her career to ensure that all students reach their academic goals and success. The HIGH program was created to ensure that no student abandons their dream of earning a degree solely because of housing or financial challenges. Since 2013 when the Program began, it has helped numerous financially challenged students receive housing, tuition, supplies and much more. These students go on to achieve their dreams of earning a quality education from Wayne State University.
