To kick off National Hunger and Homelessness Week November 10-17, the team at the Wayne State University's HIGH program served lunch at the Detroit Rescue Mission. The staff and receipents were warm and thankful as we served approximately 150 hungry souls. Lunch consisted of chicken bites, potatoes, a garden salad, with their choice of sweet potatoe pie or brownie for dessert. The kitchen staff at the rescue mission, Brennen and Rolanda, supervised our help with cooking, food prep, set up and serving of the meals.
