Florine Mark
President and CEO
The WW Group
Florine Mark is president and CEO of The WW Group, the leading franchise holder of Weight Watchers International. Mark created The WW Group as a family business from the ground up, acquiring franchises throughout the Midwest, East Coast, Canada, and Mexico. Some of these franchises were sold in 2003 to Weight Watchers International, but Mark retained all operations in her home state of Michigan, as well as in Northern Ontario, Canada.
She serves as an adviser and board member on approximately 40 committees and civic organizations and at one time was chair of the Detroit Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Mark's empowering message on weight loss, self-esteem, and self-growth positioned her as a highly sought after motivational speaker across the country. She hosts a weekly morning radio show, Remarkable Women, and can also be seen each week on "Ask Florine," a weekly segment on WDIV (NBC-Detroit).
Mark fulfilled a lifelong dream in 2004 by publishing her first book, Talk to the Mirror, which provides inspiration to achieve one's dreams, and she is working to finish a second book, yet untitled. Over the course of her career, Mark has received numerous accolades, including being the first woman inducted in the National Management Association Hall of Fame. Mark holds an honorary associate's of arts and sciences from Schoolcraft College and honorary Bachelors of Arts from Eastern Michigan University and an honorary doctorate of commercial science from Central Michigan University.
