Tuesday April 6th friends and alumni of Wayne State joined Dr. and Mrs. Wilson for a vibrant evening of networking and university updates.  In addition guests had the opportunity to receive a signed copy of President Wilson's new memior "The Plum Tree Blossoms Even in Winter".

Dr. Wilson's memoir is a leader's journey of identity, resilience, and tgriumph that he hopes will inspire people from similar backgrounds.  This candid, intimately engrossing book details the outside forces that shape racial and cultural identity, the importance of mentorship and friendship, and the lasting impact of an unstable and often heartbreaking family dynamic.
