April 19, 2016

President Wilson and First Lady Jacqueline Wilson showed their support of Wayne State University’s Transition to Independence Program (TIP) by attending the 2016 Chili Cook-Off on March 26, 2016 held at the McGregor Memorial Conference Center. The Transition to Independence Program (TIP) at Wayne State University exists to increase college access and improve the graduation rates of foster care youth in Southeast Michigan. The ‘Chili for Success’ cook-off had a wonderful turn-out as many faculty, staff, students, and alumni came out to show their support. The event raised over $635 and all proceeds went towards the TIP Book Scholarship Fund.
